Saint Peter’s to host N.J.’s 2nd annual
conference on breastfeeding medicin
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.: Saint Peter’s University Hospital will host the second annual New Jersey Conference on Breastfeeding for healthcare
professionals from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, in the
Sister Marie de Pazzi Conference Center, ground floor of the hospital.
The conference will present opportunities for those in the healthcare field to
network and receive education. Programs will be geared to the needs of
physicians and other healthcare professionals in subspecialties working in
hospitals, clinics and private physician offices. Lectures and in-depth
workshops by renowned experts in the field of breastfeeding will be presented.
Attendees can also take advantage of breastfeeding exhibits and a book fair.
The 2015 NJ Breastfeeding Champion Physician Award will also be presented.

breastfeeding training. Understanding that such training is an integral part of
‘Baby-Friendly’ accreditation, access to the specialized and continued
breastfeeding medicine (BFM) education becomes even more acute. New Jersey ranks one of the worst states in
most of breastfeeding parameters. Only four N.J. hospitals are currently
