When members of the community can’t get to Saint Peter’s University Hospital for health care, Saint Peter’s takes health care into the community. Our 34-foot health van has traveled thousands of miles throughout central New Jersey visiting schools, retirement communities, day care centers, homeless shelters, senior centers, public housing complexes, shopping centers, and corporations. We are staffed with advanced practice and registered nurses. We cover Middlesex and Somerset Counties—especially those areas where healthcare services may be limited.Services provided by the mobile health unit staff:

- Cholesterol screenings
- Dermascan facial screenings
- Follow-up health care
- Healthcare education
- Height, weight and body mass index measurements
- Immunization testing

- Referrals for community healthcare services
- Skin cancer screenings
- Stroke risk assessment screenings
- Vision screenings.
