Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Program
Urinary incontinence and pelvic pain dysfunction is treated with a program of physical therapy consisting of biofeedback, education and therapeutic exercises in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
Biofeedback is used to improve awareness of the use of the pelvic floor musculature. Each session is individualized according to the biofeedback findings initial evaluation. Our emphasis is on a home management program to control and prevent incontinence.
If you suffer from urinary incontinence or pelvic pain, we encourage you to consider Saint Peter’s University Hospital for an individualized program including biofeedback, manual techniques, therapeutic exercises and progression to self-management of your symptoms. Our staff understands the importance of independence, control, prevention and wellness. We would like to assist you on your road to recovery.
Contact our department at 732-745-8570 with any questions or if you are interested in scheduling an appointment. A prescription from a physician is required to initiate therapy and, depending on your insurance, a referral may also be necessary. Appointments are available Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Other days and times may be available upon request.
