Making a Difference
Saint Peter’s has a long, rich history and the Saint Peter’s University Hospital Auxiliary is proud to be a part of it. By organizing and hosting fundraising events throughout the year, the Auxiliary has been able bring awareness to and support a variety of Saint Peter’s programs and initiatives.
Over the past 35 years, the Auxiliary has raised more than $2.3 million for the hospital. Recent fundraising initiatives include:
- Raising more than $520,000 for Saint Peter’s Breast Center since 2009. Funds raised through an annual fashion show have helped establish a patient navigator position; purchase cutting-edge, three-dimensional mammography technology known as tomosynthesis; and provided for other programmatic support.
- Collecting items for the annual reverse trick-or-treat program benefitting our pediatric patients.
- Pledging to raise $100,000 for the Emergency Department Expansion & Renovation Project as well as $25,000 for the Simulation Center for Interprofessional Learning at Saint Peter’s University Hospital. Through our Pocketbook Bingo fundraiser, the Auxiliary has to date raised $120,000 towards these efforts.
- Hosting the Giving Tree holiday fundraiser, collecting items such as coats, hats, mittens, diapers, gift cards and other items for the children and families at the Saint Peter’s University Hospital Family Health Center on How Lane in New Brunswick.
- Raising funds for the annual Pediatric Hematology Oncology Holiday party benefitting pediatric patients and their families.
