Annual Community Golf Outing Raises Over $140,000 for The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital
July 13, 2022
Saint Peter’s Foundation’s annual Community Golf Outing was held on June 27 at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township . This year’s outing benefited The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital and raised over $140,000, making it the most successful Community Golf Outing to date.
Since the first outing in 2008, over $1.1 million has been raised in support of The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s. Funds raised from the outings allows The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s to purchase equipment, provide educational opportunities to clinical staff, support community outreach programs, and fund capital improvement projects.
Mike McCormick of Pavese-McCormick Agency, Inc. chaired the committee and has played an active role in supporting the event over the years.
“The Community Golf Outing is one of the events I look forward to every year. It is wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces come together to support The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s. Many have a personal connection to some aspect of Saint Peter’s or the Children’s Hospital. Others support the event because they recognize the need to have such a special place to treat the most vulnerable children of Central Jersey,” said McCormick. “Every dollar raised through the years has a tremendous impact on families, providing them with better clinical outcomes and additional comforts. It is gratifying to know that together we are creating more positive experiences for the children who are cared for at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s.”
The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital is a state-designated acute care children’s hospital offering a full-range of pediatric specialized healthcare services for newborns and children through young adulthood. A board-certified pediatric allergist and immunologist at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s, Harumi Jyonouchi, MD, was recently recognized by The Brain Foundation and the O’Sullivan Foundation in support of her research related to Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Through Dr. Jyonouchi and the staff at The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s, parents like the Huguenins were able to get high-quality medical care for their son Harrison.
“We searched the world for an innovative, compassionate doctor who could help our son who has a unique and complex medical condition only to find her at the hospital in which he was born. Dr. Jyonouchi and The Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital turned his life around when others couldn’t.”
On September 12, 2022, Saint Peter’s Foundation will be holding the President’s Golf Classic at The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes. For sponsorship information, contact 732.745.6678 or spfoundation@saintpetersuh.com. All donations will benefit Saint Peter’s Healthcare System.
