Saint Peter’s speech and language therapists use fun and motivating activities designed to encourage children to participate and learn new and necessary oral motor, play, articulation, and language skills. The goal of speech and language therapy is to improve our patients’ ability to understand language and to become more effective communicators in all environments.
Our speech and language therapists will work with your child to improve:
- Receptive/expressive language
- Oral motor skills
- Articulation/phonological errors
- Apraxia
- Dysarthria
- Stuttering
- Auditory processing disorders
- Voice disorders
- All phases of Dysphagia, including assessment of aspiration and associated diet modifications and recommendations through Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS). MBS studies are conducted in conjunction with Saint Peter’s University Hospital’s Radiology Department.
- Behavioral/sensory feeding difficulties through Feeding Therapy
