

Michael Vardy, MD

Michael Vardy, MD, is the chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Vardy is a well-known and widely respected surgeon, educator, author and researcher who comes to Saint Peter’s from Englewood Hospital in North Jersey where he served as director of Urogynecology for 21 years and for six years as chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2005, Dr. Vardy established Englewood Hospital Urogynecologic Robotic program in 2009. He founded the fellowship program in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York City where he served as division and fellowship director and was promoted to associate professor. He was awarded the June Alyson Award for his research on the effect of estrogen on the biomechanical properties of pelvic ligaments.
Dr. Vardy graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel, and completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. After three years as a practicing general OB/GYN at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, he returned to Montefiore to complete a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery/Urogynecology.
During his fellowship, Dr. Vardy gained early exposure to minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques. He specializes in robotic surgery using the da Vinci® Surgical System, which employs smaller, precise instruments, an approach that offers advantages such as reduced blood loss, minimal scarring, faster recovery, and improved surgical outcomes.
At Saint Peter’s, he also serves as the director of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Urogynecology is a subspecialty focused on diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders in women, such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. Pelvic reconstructive surgery is a major component, involving procedures to correct anatomical defects and restore normal pelvic anatomy and function

Kira M. Moore, DO, is a gynecologic surgeon at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and a gynecologist with Saint Peter’s Physician Associates in Somerset, NJ. Dr. Moore has participated in surgical mission work in the Philippines and has published research on chronic abdominal wall pain and surgical techniques.

Monika B. Potocki, MD, is an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN), Naprosurgeon and gynecologic surgeon at Saint Peter's Gianna Center in Somerset, NJ. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from Ohio State University, where he conducted research in cancer genetics.
His additional work includes research in the management of fibroid torsion in pregnancy, microRNA targets for leukemia treatment, and thyroid cancer risk factors.
He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and has participated in national conferences, including the ACOG Congressional Leadership Conference, where he lobbied Congress for women’s health care, and the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) Leadership Conference. Dr. Hoag has received multiple awards, including Summa Health Resident Medical Student Teacher of the Year, John Karlen Award for Surgical Excellence, and Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Resident Program Award for Excellence in Obstetrics.

Joseph Vaydovsky, MD, FACOG,

Joseph Vaydovsky, MD, FACOG, is the director of Labor and Delivery at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He has over two decades of experience as an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) and gynecologic surgeon and is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
His research focuses on urogynecologic conditions and reproductive medicine, with publications in peer-reviewed journals including The Journal of Reproductive Medicine and The Journal of Urology.
Dr. Vaydovsky is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. He has received multiple recognitions from the Lois Tuske Awards for Excellent Patient Care.
Dr. Vaydovsky completed his residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, where he served as chief resident. He earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada and his bachelor’s degree in biology from Long Island University in New York.
