Henry K. Tsai, MD, graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College before receiving his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. He completed his residency at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program where he was named chief resident. Dr. Tsai has completed programs in biostatistics, epidemiology, and health policy at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Tsai also has extensive proton therapy experience from his training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Tsai has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on prostate and other cancers and was selected to the prestigious CaPSURE Scholars Program for prostate cancer outcomes research. Dr. Tsai has a particular interest in the development of technological advances in radiation oncology. He is an active member of numerous professional societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Robert M. Cardinale, MD, graduated magna cum laude in electrical engineering from Rutgers University and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship in radiation oncology at Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore, MD. He has served in several academic positions and has made vital contributions in the areas of stereotactic radiation therapy. Dr. Cardinale was selected by his peers as a “Top Doctor” in New Jersey and has been named among the “Best Doctors in America.” He has received several academic awards and U.S. patents for novel cancer treatments. He has authored numerous important articles and book chapters in radiation oncology and has presented his work at more than 50 national and international scientific meetings.

Brian H. Chon, MD, graduated with honors from Swarthmore College, Philadelphia, PA, and received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Chon was the chief resident in radiation oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He also completed a sub-fellowship in basic science research on breast cancer genetics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Chon currently serves as the medical director at ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Somerset, NJ. He has extensive proton therapy experience from both the Harvard Cyclotron and Francis H. Burr Proton Therapy Center at MGH. He has special expertise in cranial and extracranial stereotactic radiation therapy as well as high-dose rate brachytherapy for the treatment of gynecologic and breast cancer. His professional memberships include the American Medical Association and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Todd W. Flannery, MD, graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, where he was the captain of the baseball team and an Academic All-American. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, where he was valedictorian and went on to become chief resident in radiation oncology. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. He studied proton beam therapy during an externship at Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Flannery has received numerous honors including the Giuseppe Inesi Biochemistry Award and two awards from the American Society for Radiation Oncology. Dr. Flannery has presented his research findings on brain, prostate, lung, gastrointestinal, and breast cancer treatments at numerous scientific meetings and is an active member of many oncologic professional societies, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Andrew S. Greenberg, MD, received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Massachusetts and his master’s degree in chemistry before receiving his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Brunswick. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Medical Association for Radiation Oncology, American College of Radiology, Medical Society of New Jersey, Oncology Society of New Jersey, and the Mercer County Medical Association. He is the director of radiation oncology at Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ. Dr. Greenberg has been selected by his peers as a “Top Doctor” in New Jersey.

Jae Y. Lee, MD, PhD, obtained his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry with the highest distinction from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville before attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he completed his doctoral thesis in cancer stem cell biology and was awarded combined MD and PhD degrees through the Medical Scientist Training Program. He then completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he was named chief resident. He served as a co-investigator on several clinical trials and studies utilizing advanced imaging to improve tumor control and treatment-related side effects.

Hiral Patel Fontanilla, MD, graduated with honors from Rutgers University before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she was nominated to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Dr. Fontanilla has received numerous honors including the AMA Foundation Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship and Stanley S. Bergen, Jr., MD Medal of Excellence. Dr. Fontanilla was selected as a research scholar at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at the National Institutes of Health where she completed a one-year research fellowship. She was certified by the American Board of Radiology in radiation oncology in 2013.

Joseph (Josh) Pepek, MD, received his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. As an undergraduate, he played for Georgetown’s varsity baseball team. Dr. Pepek obtained his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and afterward served as a medical officer for the United States Navy. During his naval career, Dr. Pepek completed a surgery internship at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. He then deployed to Iraq with the U.S. Navy Seabees during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also was the medical officer for the Marine Corps Chemical Biological Incident Response Force in Indian Head, MD. Dr. Pepek then completed his radiation oncology residency at Duke University in North Carolina, where he served as chief resident. He has presented his research at national meetings and has authored a number of peer-reviewed journal articles.

She completed her residency in radiation oncology at the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program. Dr. Rodrigues has received numerous honors and awards including the John Harvard Scholarship for academic achievement of the highest distinction and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement award given to outstanding women in medicine. She has authored numerous publications in radiation oncology and has a clinical interest in breast cancer. She also has significant proton therapy experience from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She is an active member of many professional societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology.

Payal Soni, MD
Payal Soni, MD, is experienced in treating a variety of disease sites, including breast, prostate, head and neck, lung, gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers. She has experience with various radiation techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), brachytherapy for gynecologic and prostate cancers, stereotactic radiation treatments, and hydrogel placement.
She previously worked at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. In addition, she served on the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and as a member of the VA Radiation Oncology Quality Consortium, through which she contributed to VA-wide quality improvement initiatives. Following that, she worked at Dignity Health Cancer Institute in Phoenix, AZ, where she also served as the Quality and Patient Safety Officer for the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Soni also served on the faculty for the University of Arizona and Creighton University.
Dr. Soni attended college at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, and medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She completed an internal medicine internship at Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Following her internship, she completed a radiation oncology residency at the University of Michigan, where she served during her final year as chief resident.

Edward M. Gregory Stachelek, MD, PhD, obtained his Bachelor of Science in chemistry and biology with the highest distinction from the California Institute of Technology before entering the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. At Yale, he completed his doctoral thesis in genetics and was awarded combined MD and PhD degrees with honors. He then completed a residency in radiation oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He has received several funded basic science research grants and national awards.
Dr. Stachelek has clinical experience treating all body sites with the use of advanced image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and brachytherapy. He has presented his research findings on various clinical oncology topics at national scientific meetings and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in top journals. His professional memberships include the American College of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Radiation Oncology.
